Exploring Bead Weaving Workshops
During the summer months I conduct workshops
in off-loom bead weaving. The workshops are held
at my gallery/studio location in Muskoka. Please see my gallery page
for driving directions.
Workshops can be booked for small
groups from 4 - 8 people.
Beading Supplies will be available for
sale any time during our business hours.
Half Day Workshops (3 hours) $45
Full Day Workshops (5 hours + 1 hr
lunch break) $75
Description: Off loom bead weaving has a glossary of stitches,
much like knitting. Each stitch has a different weave which gives a
different look. Combining different stitches with different beads
can results in an endless variety of style. In this series of
workshops I introduce and teach the principal stitches used by artists
working in this technique of beading. I will focus on one
stitch in each workshop and offer some choices of different projects that
can be made with that stitch. These workshops will run for a
whole day, from 10am to 4pm with a 1 hour lunch break. Please bring
your lunch.
Cancellations: In the event of a cancellation a $15/person
cancellation fee will be charged to your credit card. No-shows will
be charged the full amount of the workshop.
