Encaustic painting uses hot wax as the medium to carry the pigment for the painting. Encaustic is a very old medium that dates back to the ancient Greeks and Egyptians  My painted imagery often refers to the importance of home and family.  I use landscape & house imagery as a way to symbolize my own personal landscape.
